Winter Romance at Gring's Mill
We met at Gring's Mill Recreation Area during one of the last days of snow left for 2017. Even though it was cold, we warmed up for some fantastic photos. There is something magical about the way the winter light interacts with the historic stone structures and the bridge at Gring's Mill. Their wedding is set for this December at the Harvest View Barn in Elizabethtown, and this session was the perfect prelude to their winter nuptials.
Historic Textures
Gring's Mill is a favorite for its rustic charm and diverse textures. From the weathered stone walls to the iconic red bridges, every corner offers a different mood. We utilized the remnants of the winter snow to add a bright, clean aesthetic to their portraits, highlighting their connection against the historic Wyomissing backdrop.
Chasing the Cold
While most couples wait for spring, there is an undeniable intimacy in winter sessions. The cold weather naturally brings couples closer together, leading to genuine, cozy moments that feel incredibly authentic. We explored the creek-side paths, finding pockets of light that warmed up the afternoon despite the freezing temperatures.
